Lifetime Achievement Awards For Bengali Actress Mousumi Chatterjee


West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Baerjee honoured veteran Bollywood and Tollywood actress Moushumi Chatterjee with lifetime achievement award at the 12th Telecine Awards 2012 for her contribution to Indian cinema. Glamorous actress Moushumi Chatterjee of yesteryears made her debut in cinema 1969 with a Tarun Mazumder directed Bengali film 'Balika Bodhu'. Moushumi Chatterjee afterwards focused more on Hindi movies although she acted in many Bengali films. Debut Hindi movie of Moushumi Chatterjee is ‘Anurag’ in 1973 where she acted as a blind girl and her performance was praised by film critics.

Bengali actress and Trinamool Congress MLA Debasree Roy, actress turned Trinamool Congress MP Satabdi Roy, actor and Trinamool Congress MP Tapas Pal, and Telecine Society Chairman, actor turned Trinamool Congress MP Chiranjit were present in the award giving function.
