Latest news on Bengali film Chander Pahar


Director Kamaleshwar Mukherjee is steadily making all necessary preparations for his upcoming Bengali film Chander Pahar. Recently he went to South Africa where he will shoot his film Chander Pahar. Bengali film Chander Pahar is based on a novel of Bibhutibhushan Bandopadhyay and Dev will play the role of Shankar in the movie.

From March 2013, shooting of the Bengali film Chander Pahar will start and the team will camp in South Africa for a month for shooting purpose. Director of Bengali film Chander Pahar, Kamaleshwar Mukherjee and Dev will make another trip to South Africa before the start of shooting. The shooting locations of Bengali film Chander Pahar are finalized near Johannesburg.

The shooting locations of Bengali film will be Mpumalanga jungles, Eland’s Valley, Blyde river canyon. Some sets will be created in South Africa for shooting and film Chander Pahar will be shoot in Kenya and Uganda.

Director Kamaleshwar Mukherjee is a newcomer in Bengali films as director. First film of Kamaleshwar Mukherjee is Uro Chithi. Sreelekha Mitra and Indraneil Sengupta were in the main leading roles of the film and the film did average box office business. Second film of Kamaleshwar Mukherjee is Meghe Dhaka tara which will be released on April 2013 and the third film will be Chander Pahar.

In the film romantic hero Dev will be seen fighting with lions and spending days in caves. This is a challenging role for Dev who has so far acted only in masala films.
