Nigel Akkara started his filmy career with Bengali film Muktodhara. Nigel has recently signed a Malayalam film ‘Orissa’ which will be directed by M Padmakumar. Shooting of the film will begin in January 2013 and Nigel will play the role of a zamindar in the film. Malayali actor Unni Mukundan and Odia actress Saanika Nambiar are also in the film Orissa.
Nigel Akkara has decided to play different type of roles, he will never confined himself in the role of villains. After release of the Bengali film Muktodhara, many offers came to Nigel but all the roles were of villains.
