Rituparna Sengupta
Bengali actress Rituparna Sengupta was recently harassed at Toronto Airport. The actress was on her way to showcase her film Mukti Dir Reshmi. Rituparna Sengupta was detained for five hours at Toronto Airport. The reason shown by airport authorities was that Rituparna Sengupta was not carrying valid visas.

Rituparna Sengupta was accompanied by her Canadian resident 80 year old aunt.
Rituparna Sengupta told afterwards that she has been sanctioned visa in 2010 and the validity of the visa is till 2015. Rituparna Sengupta managed to make a phone call to her husband. At that time Rituparna Sengupta’s husband was in Singapore and he contacted the Indian embassy and finally Rituparna was freed after six hours.

Rituparna Sengupta was so much harassed that she even cried while the airport authorities threatened that she would be send to hospital if she continues crying.
