Aamir Khan was recently in Banaras to promote his film PK. Banaras is a special
location for Aamir as this holi place is the home town of the actor’s mother.
Aamir normally starts his promotional tour for films from either Patna or
Varanasi. In the recent Banaras tour, Aamir purchased a Banarasi sari from there for his
co-star Anushka Sharma.
Banaras silk
sarees are world famous and Hindu girls normally wear Banarasi silk on their
wedding night.
