Byomkesh Phire Elo and Badshahi Angti- Abir vrs Abir

Two most awaited Bengali films will be released on 19 December this year and it is expected that Bengali film audiences will enjoy the films in this Christmas. Badshahi Angti of Sandip Ray and Anjan Dutta’s Byomkesh Phire Elo – two films on detective plot will be released during this Christmas. There is another common feature in those two films – Abir Chatterjee is in the lead roles of both the films. Abir has played the role of Byomkesh in many Anjan Dutta films but Badshahi Angti will be Abir’s debut film in Feluda series.The tussle between Feluda and Byomkesh will be most interesting in this Christmas.

Story of Byomkesh Phire Elo

Byomkesh Phire Elo is the final part of the Byomkesh trilogy by Anjan Dutta. The previous films on Byomkesh by Anjan Dutta were Byomkesh Bakshi and Abar Byomkesh. Byomkesh Phire Elo is based on the story Beni Sanghar by novelist Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay.

In the film Byomkesh Phire Elo, Benimadhab is a businessman who has a fear of being murdered by someone although he has no idea about the suspected killer. Benimadhab appointed Byomkesh to solve the situation and the detective stars his work with his assistant Ajit. In the course of investigation by Byomkesh, some dark sides of Benimadhab’s family come out.

Story of Badshahi Angti

Feluda, Topshe and Topshe's father visit their advocate uncle’s house at Bara Imambara, Lucknow. Dr. Srivastav meets Feluda as a precious ring was stolen from his house. They believe that the ring was of the Mughal Emperor, Aurangzeb's. Feluda with his skill, intelligence and bravery, keeps the ring safe and nabs the culprits.

This film is the first venture of Abir Chatterjee as Felude. Previously Soumitra Chatterjee has played the role of Feluda in films directed by Satyajit Ray.
