The beauty of Simla has made her acting debut with TV show 'Humsafars' and the actress considers Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut as her inspiration for her acting career. Both Shivya and Kangana are from Himachal Pradesh.

Shivya Pathania said: "I look up to Kangana Ranut. She is one of my favourite actresses, not only because she is from Himachal but also the way she has improved over the years. Her diction had so much Himachal tone earlier but now it is so clear. I hope I can have a similar growth. Her body of work and the way she has grown is admirable."

Shivya Pathania showed lot of respects for actresses like Kangana and Vidya Balan as she feels that these two Bollywood actresses are portraying roles in cinema which have values in the society.

Shivya Pathania wants to do the role of Parvati - a mythological character in future.
