Vijayalakshmi, popularly known as Rambha was born on 5 June 1976. Rambha has acted in over 100 South Indian films and also in Hindi, Kannada, Bengali and Bhojpuri films. In year 2010, Rambha got married with  Indran Pathmanathan and left the film industry.

Rambha is now the brand ambassador for her husband's firm, Magickwoods, a kitchen and bathroom manufacturing firm based in Canada, The couple have two daughters.
