Aamir Khan to play astronaut Rakesh Sharma in biopic

Siddharth Roy Kapur is making a film on biopic of Indian astronaut Rakesh Sharma and Aamir Khan will play the character of astronaut Rakesh Sharma in the film. Title of the film is 'Salute'.

Siddharth Roy Kapur approached Aamir Khan for the film and Aamit took no time to confirm. The  film will be made under his newly-launched banner RK Films (Roy Kapur Films) and Mahesh Mathai will direct the film. The biopic will jointly be produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Aamir. The film is expected to release in 2018.
