Film The Mahabharata would be costliest ever film




A UAE-based Indian businessman, B R Shetty is investing Rs 1,000 crore to produce India's biggest ever motion picture, 'The Mahabharata'.

Film The Mahabharata will be produced in two parts and is scheduled to start shooting by September 2018. The film would be released in early 2020. The second part will be released within 90 days of the first.

Producer of the film, B R Shetty said "The film will be shot primarily in English, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu and will be dubbed into major Indian languages and leading foreign languages,"

Cast and crew of the film The Mahabharata would include the best of talent from Indian cinema, as well as some big names from Hollywood.

Script of the film The Mahabharata will be penned by Vasudevan Nair and Shrikumar Menon would direct the film. 

Initially the film would be in English, Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada. Afterwards the film would be dubbed in other regional languages also. Film The Mahabharata tells the story of Mahabharata through the perspective of Bheem.
