Lata Mangeshkar and late singer Mohammed
Rafi had many duet songs in Bollywood Hindi films but once they stopped singing
together due to some reason. Afterwards the matter was solved and the two great
singers of all time again worked together. Lata Mangeshkar said in a newspaper
that late singer Mohammed Rafi had apologised to her in writing and this
statement has become a point of controversy.
Shahid Rafi, son of late singer Mohammed Rafi has protested against such
statement of Lata Mangeshkar and said that this is a publicity stunt of Lataji.
Shahid Rafi further stated that he might take legal action on Lataji for such
incorrect statement.

Rafi said that Mohammed Rafi, his father is a national property and such a
statement has hurt him and fans of Mohammed Rafi. Son of Mohammed Rafi claimed
that if Lata Mangeshkar can produce the letter then he will apologise otherwise
he is thinking about taking legal action against Lata Mangeshkar.
In
an interview to a newspaper, Lata Mangeshkar said that she and Rafi fought over
royalties and after that they stopped singing together. Afterwards the matter
was solved with the initiative taken composer Jaikishen.
