Salman Khan is the true box office hero in Bollywood film industry. Before the release of Dabangg 2, it was anticipated the film will be a box office hit film. The only concern was to see whether it breaks the box office collection of another Salman starer film of 2012, Ek Tha Tiger. Ek Tha Tiger is at the top so far as box office collection in 2012 is concerned.
Dabangg 2 has received an overwhelming response on the very first day even though the release day is not a holiday. Today (21 December) Dabangg 2 is released in 3,500 screens in India and the film has registered 100% occupancy in both single screens and multiplexes. First day box office collection of Dabangg 2 is less than Ek Tha Tiger but it should be kept in mind that release day of Ek Tha Tiger was a holiday.
