Sachin Tendulkar retires from one day international cricket


Master bluster Sachin Tendulkar has decided to retire from one day international cricket match. Sachin informed Indian cricket board about his decision today ( 23 December 2012) and board has announced the news to media.

Sachin Tendulkar has played 463 international one day match and his highest score in one day international is 200. Sachin Tendulkar has scored 18426 runs in one day international cricket with 49 century. Sachin Tendulkar played his last one day international match in Dhaka.

Debut one day international match of Sachin Tendulkar: 18 December 1989, the match was against Pakistan at Gujranwala, Pakistan. Sachin scored 0.

As a bowler Sachin done a magnificent job in Hero Cup semifinal match against South Africa at Eden Gardens, Kolkata on 24 November 1993. South Africa needed 6 runs to win in the last over and Sachin was the bowler. South Africa scored only 3 runs in that over.

On 27 March 1994, Sachin Tendulkar played for the first time as opener in ODI match and his score was 82 runs.

First century of Sachin Tendulkar in ODI came on 9 September 1994 against Australia in Colombo. Sachin scored 110 runs.

In 1996 world cup, Sachin Tendulkar became the first batsman to cross 500 runs in world cup tournament.

In 2011 World Cup, Sachin scored 482 runs in 9 matches. He was the second highest scorer in the tournament. India won the world cup and Sachin's dream was fulfilled.

Last ODI century of Sachin came on 16 March 2012. Sachin scored 114 runs against Bangladesh in Dhaka.

Last ODI match of Sachin Tendulkar: 18 March 2012. The match was against Pakistan and played in Dhaka. Sachin scored 52 runs.

Both the first and last ODI match of Sachin was against Pakistan.
