The story of Ekla Akash is based on unrest and isolated situation of present generation youth. Career is everything to them. In this film, Ekla Akash, Gautam Ghosh is acting as a professor, Satyabrata Roy whose life style is very mysterious. He was associated with a College as a teacher but suddenly disappeared. After a long time Satyabrata Roy return back as a film director.

Nisha and Arijit are a married couple. Arijit works in a senior position of an Advertisement Agency and very busy with his job. He has no time to spare for his wife. Arijit is totally career oriented and for the betterment of his career, he can do anything. Ethics, values are meaningless words for Arijit. He knows that he has to build up his career at the cost of anything.

Tanuka is boss of Arijit in the Advertisement Agency where Arijit works. Intimacy between Arijit - Tanuka and neglecting Nisha by her husband Arijit increases proportionately and at one stage, Arijit and Tanuka involved in physical relationship.
