Marriage preparation of Koel Mallick is in full swing

Bengali film actress and daughter of veteran Bengali actor Ranjit Mallick, Koel Mallick will get married with Nishpal on 1 February 2013 and this marriage is going to be a grand wedding ceremony in West Bengal. Koel is from the famous Mallick family of Bhabanipur, Kolkata.

On 11 November 2012, Koel's grandmother gifted her silver meenakari payals that are over 150 years old. As said by Koel Mallick, the payals are heavy and broad which will cover half of her feet. In Mallick family, lot of sentimental value is associated with those payals as it was gifted to Koel's grandmother by her mother-in-law. This is a family heirloom that's been handed down the generations. Koel Mallick has planned to wear the payals on her wedding.
