Anik Dutta, the director of Bhooter Bhobisyot is now ready to start his next Bengali film titled Aschorjo Pradeep. Bhooter Bhobisyot was a box office hit film in 2012. Shooting of Aschorjo Pradeep will start from 11 December this year and by the end of January 2013 the film may be completed.
Story of the Bengali film Aschorjo Pradeep
Film Aschorjo Pradeep is based on a short story by famous Bengali author Sirshendu Mukhopadhyay. Film Aschorjo Pradeep tells the story of a middle class man and a genie who appears from fabled magic lamp to change the life of the middle class man. Saswata Chatterjee plays the role of the middle class man and Rajatava Dutta is the genie. Sirshendu Mukhopadhyay's story can not be such a simple as stated above. The story takes a turn at the end and conveys a message to the present society on commercial and consumerist trends.
