In Bengal film industry there is always scarcity of new faces of female actress. Parno Mitra can be considered as a new face in Bengali films although she has acted in many Bengali TV serials and Bengali films. After her love scene in 'Mohana' -a Bengali tele seria, Parno Mitra was in hot news. Now Parno has got a chance to portrayed the character Ranjana in Anjan Dutta’s latest film ‘Ranjana Ami Aar Ashbo Na’. The film will be released on 24 June, 2011. Parno Mitra is in the leading female role in this film.
Parno Mitra is working in another Bengali film ‘Bedroom’ directed by Mainak Bhaumik. In Bedroom, Parno plays the role of a typical woman who is extremely unhappy and irritated with everything which happens on her.
Co-stars of Bedroom are Tanushree Chakraborty, Abir Chatterjee, Paoli Dam, Rahul, Rudranil Ghosh and Ushasie Chakraborty.
Parno Mitra got her first break in cinema with a small role in a Bollywood film “Ghat” and after that she was selected for a Zee Bangla’s television serial “Khela” where she plays the character of a widow. Debut Bengali film of Parno Mitra is ‘Bangla Bachao’. Prosenjit and Pauli Dam were in the leading roles of thi film. During shooting of this film Parno fell seriously ill due to acute appendicitis.
