Bengali film Cinemawala – story cast and crew of the movie

Bengali film Cinemawala is based on the life of persons who are involved in film industry – filmmaker, actors, spot boys producers, cinema hall owners and everyone with the industry. Shooting of the film is completed and will be released very soon. 

Story of the film Cinemawala 

Film industry has witnessed many major changes which definitely has advantages. The shift from celluloid to digital platform has been a game changer in the exhibition of cinema. Single screen theatres are facing troubles. 60 to 70% of single screen theatres are closing down. The film Cinemawala is based on such a single screen cinema hall owner. The hall owner is making loss in his business but his love for cinema motivates him to continue.

Paran Bandopadhyay is the hall owner and Parambrata is his son in film Cinemawala. Conflict between the loss making hall owner and his son over the business is highlighted in the film Cinemawala. Sohini Sarkar is playing the role of Parambtara’s wife in film Cinemawala.

Director Kaushik Ganguly has won the ICFT-Unesco Fellini Prize for his film Cinemawala. Kaushik Ganguly is the first Indian director to receive the award.
