In Vikram Bhatt’s murder mystery, Twisted, Nia Sharma plays the baddie Alia who is a super model. In the film, Alia is in love with married Ranbir. Namit Khanna plays the role of Namit. Suddenly Namit's wife is murdered. Nia has a on-screen lip-lock with Namit. In the flash back, Alia will also be seen romancing her female friend Zara, played by actor Isha Sharma.
About the role, Nia Sharma said “People have played roles like these before and done bold scenes on-screen but just because my background is television, people will blow it out of proportion. Everything I am doing is normal, but just because I’ve played a role of ‘bahu’ and ‘beti’, people will not take it easily.”
