Newly elected MPs, Mimi Chakraborty and Nusrat Jahan took oath in the Parliament on 25 June, 2019. Both are popular film actresses in Bengali films of recent times and both contested the Lok Sabha election 2019 in TMC tickets and both are new in politics. Nusrat and Mimi are best friends also.

After the result of Lok sabha election 2019, Nusrat was in Bodrum to marry Nikhin Jain and her best friend in the film industry Mimi was also there to attend the marriage ceremony. Yesterday they took the oath in Bengali and at the end of oath taking both touched the feet of Speaker Om Birla.
Nusrat came in the Parliament in a white and purple saree with bunch of bangles and mehendi on her hands. Mimi was also dressed in Indian ethnic saree.
Fans of Nusrat and Mimi are eagerly waiting to see how they perform as MP in the Parliament. Best wishes to Mimi and Nusrat.
