Popular Tollywood actress Madhumita Sarkar has started a new chapter in her life with her childhood friend and long-time partner Debmalya Chakraborty in a completely Bengali-inspired way. It is learnt that their wedding took place in Baruipur,In a home environment, in the presence of family and close friends.
Madhumita and Devmalya got officially engaged last Sunday, January 18. Both of them chose western attire that day. Madhumita looked modern and stylish, while Devmalya was seen in a smart western outfit. As soon as the engagement pictures were released on social media, their profiles were flooded with well-wishes from fans.
However, their attire changed completely for the Basant Panchami wedding. They left modernity behind and went back to their roots, to the ancient traditions of Bengalis. Madhumita wore a red Benarasi saree, a tiara on her head,In a traditional Bengali bridal look, adorned in gold jewelry, Devmalya, on the other hand, chose a traditional red Punjabi, which made her look even more regal.
