Saswata Chatterjee is a famous in filmy circle not only in Bengali films, his demand is increasing in Bollywood also. After the release of Hindi film Kahaani, many producers are showing interest on Saswata Chatterjee. Madhur Bhandarkar of Bollywood offered Saswata Chatterjee a role in his latest film Heroine but Saswata had to reject the offer as he is busy with Kamaleswarda's film where he is playing a character based on Ritwick Ghatak.
Saswata will act in Sandip Ray's film Bhoot Bhobishyot. Story of Bhoot Bhobishyot is written by eminent novelist Saradindu Bandyopadhyay. This film is going to be Saswata Chatterjee’s second film with Sandip Ray.
Saswata Chatterjee is also a zamindar’s role in Aparna Sen's much awaited film ‘Goynar Baksho’. Saswata will be Konkona Sensharma’s husband in the film.
