Bengali film Taan which is inspired by
'Jalbeshya', a story written by famous Bangladeshi author Al Mahmud will be
released on 7 February 2014. Shooting of the film Taan started 2 years back. Story
of Taan is based on lives of women living in the remotest part of Sundarbans
who are abducted and are brought to the borderlands of India, Bangladesh and
Burma and are groomed to be prostitutes.
The actors and actresses in Taan are Rituaprna
Sengupta, Debolina Dutta, Sumanta Chatterjee, Kaushik Sen, Chandan Sen, Rajesh
Sharma, Debdut Ghosh, Nandini Chatterjee and Pamela Bhutoria.
