Bachchan Chatushkon Yoddha - Box Office Report of Bengali Films in Durga Puja 2014

Three big budget Bengali films are releasing During this Durga Puja 2014. Two of them are already released on 26 September, Bachchan and Chatushkon. Dev and Mimi Chakraborty starrer film Yoddha will be released on Maha Saptami day of this year Durga Puja. Bengali film audiences can expect a strong fight in the box office. The fight among Dev, Jeet and Srijit Mukherjee will be interesting.

Film Chatushkon is produced by Reliance Entertainment and Dag C Media. The list of the actor and actresses in the film Chatushkon is very long. Apart from the renowned directors like Parambrata Chatterjee, Chiranjeet Chakrabarty, Aparna Sen, Kaushik Ganguly, Goutam Ghosh other cast members are Shantilal Mukherjee, Debolina Dutta, Payel Sarkar, Anindya Banerjee, Indrasish Roy, Sumit Sammadar. Manashi Sinha, Koneenica Banerjee and others. The four main characters of the film Chatushkon are King, Queen, Joker and Ace are played by Chiranjeet, Aparna Sen, Parambrata Chatterjee and Goutam Ghosh respectively, Music director of the film is Anupam Roy.

Film Bachchan is totally an entertraining film where Jeet and new face in Bengali films Aindrita Ray are in leading roles. Bachchan is a remake of Kannada film and Raja Chandra is the director. Bachchan is an action packed comedy film.

Dev will be again seen in a different type of role in film Yoddha. The big budget film is based on love and lust. Dev has already proved his ability in serious type of roles. Director and scriptwriter Srijit Mukherji has succeeded to weave a fantastic film Chotushkone. All the members in the film have done their work perfectly. Music of Anupam Roy is mind blowing.

Aparna Sen has again proved that as an actress she can still challenge anyone from the industry. Chiranjeet Chakraborty has played a strong character in the film. Goutam Ghosh, Barun Chanda and Kaushik Ganguly along with Parambrata Chatterjee, Indrashis Roy and Rahul have done justice to their fame as actors.

Bachchan is a completely mindless entertainer movie and one thing can be said that this film is in no way a different type of movie of Jeet. It is high time that Jeet should act in different type of challenging roles.

Story of the film Yoddha revolves round a professional fighter who remembers his past life accidentally and starts a fresh fight with his rival.

Yoddha is a remake of South film and Dev is in the role of the fighter and Nigel is in the role of his enemy.

Plus points of the film Yoddha are good cinematography and fantastic visual effects.

The story line of the Bengali film Yoddha is not at all compact. The sequences are loosely woven in the film and this is very disappointing.

Nothing is still official, but if Deepika Padukone works in this remake film then it would be her third film with director Homi Adajania. Earlier Deepika Padukone has worked in films 'Cocktail' and 'Finding Fanny' – both the films are superhit.
