Director Arindam Sil is now busy with his
second film on Shabor titled Eagoler Chokh. The story of the film is based on a
novel with the same name by Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay.
Earlier Arindam Sil made a film titled Ebar Shabor which is also based on a story of eminent novelist Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay. In recent past, Bengali films based on detective stories have done better box office collection.

Story of film Eagoler Chokh is based on intense
sexual relationship, woven together with mystery and suspense. The film revolves around a handsome
businessman. The man has been sexually exploited since childhood and that’s why
he has no affinity for women or sex. The businessman frequently goes on vacation
for a few days with his criminal friends to refresh himself. During such tours,
the businessman indulges in wine and women. After one such visit, he comes back
and finds his beautiful wife lying in a pool of blood. Detective Shabor enters at
this point.
Shooting of the film will start on 19 February
next year and shooting will be done around Kolkata. Music of film Eagoler Chokh
will be scored by Bickram Ghosh.
Saswata Chatterjee will play the character of Shabor and Subhrajit Dutta will be Nandolal, Shabor's assistant.
