They used to reside at a basti at Mahim, Mumbai. Reena entered film industry to support her mother and siblings. Reena Roy was considered as one of the most sexy actresses in 70's

In 1983, Reena Roy decided to quit the film industry to marry Pakistani cricketer Mohsin Khan. At that time Reena was a demanded actress in Bollywood. The couple later divorced and their daughter stays with Reena Roy. 

Afterwards Reena Roy made a comeback but gradually faded away from the mind of Bollywood film audiences.

Bollywood actress Reena Roy is planning a comeback with Bengali film

Reena Roy, the popular Bollywood actress of the '70s and '80s is planning to make a comeback in film industry with a Bengali film. Reena Roy, the actress with beautiful big eyes was popular for her romantic roles. Reena Roy will act in a untitled Bengali film of Bengali filmmaker Agnidev Chatterjee. Another veteran Bollywood actor Vinod Khanna will act in the film. Agnidev Chatterjee himself confirmed the news.

Populat Bengali actress Rituparna Sengupta is also in the film.
