Shreya Ghoshal tied knot with Shiladitya Mukhopadhyaya


Singer Shreya Ghoshal tied the knot with Shiladitya Mukhopadhyay on 5 February 2015 Thursday. The marriage ceremony was a traditional Bengali marriage and Shreya said on Facebook: "Married the love of my life yesterday night (5th feb) in a beautiful bengali traditional wedding in presence of our families and closest friends. Shiladitya and I both seek your good wishes in this exciting new phase of our lives,"


Shiladitya Mukhopadhyay is an entrepreneur and the co-founder of hipcask.com and Rasilant Technologies.

Shruti Gitabitan – Hindi Rabindra Sangeet Album


Eminent poet Gulzar’s new project is to translate Rabindra Sangeet from Bengali to Hindi.

Saregama chairman Sanjiv Goenka announced the news that a Hindi album with Gulzar's interpretation of Tagore's famous songs will be released.


Shaan and Shreya Ghosal are the singers and musical renditions done by Shantanu Moitra.

Shreya Ghoshal came into limelight when she won Sa Re Ga Ma Pa contest. The music world saw the little girl receiving the award from Sonu Nigam as champion. During that competition Shreya was spotted as the star of future by many music directors.

Date of birth: 12 March 1984 in Berhampore, West Bengal, India
She stayed at Berhampore for initial 3 months and then moved to Rawatbhata near Kota,   Rajasthan. Her father was posted there.

From her childhood Shreya was inclined on music. Her first guru in music was her mother.  Afterwards she took training from Rakesh Sharmaji, Shri Jayawardhan Bhatnagar, her school's music teacher, Mahesh Chandra Sharmaji. All of them were from Kota, Rajasthan. In Mumbai she got training from Late Mukta Bhideji in classical Hindusthani music.

Shreya’s Hindi playback singer career starts with film Devdas. Shreya received both the Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer and the Filmfare RD Burman Award for New Music Talent for her songs in Devdas. Since then Shreya is marching on. Till today she has received four National Film Awards and four Filmfare Awards.

Shreya Ghoshal is singing in Bengali films also. Apart from Hindi and Bengali, she has songs in other regional languages also.
