Controversies betyween Shatabdi Roy and Rituparna Sengupta over the film Om Shanti Om

Shatabdi Roy and Rituparna Sengupta never shared a good relationship between them. Many Bengali film personalities were surprised when Rituparna Sengupta accepted the offer  to act in Shatabdi Roy directed film Om Shanti Om.

Tapas Paul is in the main male lead role in Om Shanti Om and Bollywood item girl Rakhi Sawant is also in the film. The shooting of the film is over but the two actresses  are presently not in a good terms over the publicity of the film.  On last Friday – 29 June 2012, Rituparna Sengupta was not present in the premier show of the film Om Shanti Om. Rituparna Sengupta’s grievence is that in the poster of Om Shanti Om, her photo is not placed in proper place and the size of her photo is also very small.  The main poster is focused on Tapas Paul and Rakhi Sawant.

 It is learnt that Rituparna Sengupta contacted Shatabdi Roy and talked with her regarding the poster issue.  Shatabdi Roy informed Rituparna that the poster was not designed as per her instruction.  

Mahasweta Devi will make her debut in Bengali film very soon

Mahasweta Devi, renowned litterateur and social activist will be seen in a new role very soon. Mahasweta Devi will make her debut in Bengali film Ullas. The film is based on a story written by Mahasweta Devi. Mahasweta Devi will appear in the most prominent part of the story, Dour.

Dour is based on the death of a tribal youth during the recruitement test for state police. Recently two young unemployed of West Bengal died due to the recruitement test in hot climatic condition.

Karisma Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor divorce is a matter of time only

Karisma Kapoor never had a steady married life since she started her married life with Sanjay Kapoor in 2003. Karisma Kapoor was at the peak of her career when she tied the knot with Sanjay Kapoor and bid good bye to Bollywood film industry. The Delhi based businessman Sanjay Kapoor was previously married to fashion designer Nandita Mahtani. Sanjay got divorce from Nandita and tied the knot with Karisma Kapoor in 2003.

Presently Sanjay Kapoor is dating model-socialite Priya Sachdev and they are very serious about starting a new life. Priya Sachdevis a divorcee.

Sanjay and Karisma are staying separately, Karisma in Mumbai and Sanjay in Delhi.

Esha Deol – Bharat Takhtani marriage on 29 June 2012

Bollywood actress and daughter of Hema Malini – Dharmendra, Esha Deol will tie the knot with businessman Bharat Takhtani on 29 June 2012. The bride’s mother is trying her best to make the wedding a memorable one. All most all the stars of Bollywood will be invited in Esha Deol’s marriage. Subhashree Ganguly in a woman centric Bengali film Megh Roddur

Subhashree Ganguly will be seen in a women centric film very soon. The film, Megh Roddur is inspired from Hollywood film Noting Hill where Julia Robers was the main female cast. Subhashree Ganguly will be in the character played by Julia Roberts. Palash Ganguly will be opposite to Subhashree Ganguly in Megh Roddur.

The Hollywood film Noting Hill is directed by Roger Michell with Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant  are in the main cast. The film Noting Hill is based on a romantic love story. Julia Roberts is a famous film star in the film and Hugh Grand is an ordinary bookshop owner. The film star and the bookshop owner fall in love.

Rajesh Khanna is fine – will be discharged soon

Yesterdat Rajesh Khanna was admitted to Lilavati Hospital at Bandra due to ‘exhaustion’ and ‘weakness’. Today’s report is that Rajesh Khanna is much better today and may be released from the hospital in a day or two. There was a rumour that Rajesh Khanna was suffering from liver and kidney troubles. Rajesh Khanna’s estranged wife Dimple Kapadia however denied the report.

Dimple told the press that Rajesh Khanna was admitted to hospital for better care as he is exhausted and a little weak. Rajesh Khanna was admitted in the same hospital in April this year due to illness.

Bengali film Sonali Parer Rohoshya and Rachana Banerjee is back again in Bengali films

After a gap, Rachana Banerjee is back again in Bengali films. Rachna will work in Bengali film Sonali Parer Rohoshya.

Eminent Bengali author Samaresh Basu had written many child adventure stories and Gogol is the child ditective. Director Arindam Dey will make the film based on the story Sonali Parer Rohoshya. The title of the film will be also Sonali Parer Rohoshya. Rachana Banerjee will play the role of Gogol’s mother.

The story of Sonali Parer Rohoshya is based on Puri and the director will shoot the film at Puri. Shooting of the film will start from middle of July and Swargodwar, the Kakatua's khaja, Konark, Chilka and many more places will be in the film.

Rachana Banerjee, Indraneil Sengupta and Saheb Chattopadhyay are casted in the film Sonali Parer Rohoshya. Sirsha Ray will handle the cinematography of the movie Sonali Parer Rohoshya.

Hemlock Society is an unique film in Bengal film industry

Mehdi Hassan died today

Ghazal legend Mehdi Hassan died today at 12.22 pm at Karachi, Pakistan. Mehdi Hassan was born in India and after partition he was a citizen of Pakistan. The 84 years singer was suffering from multi organ failure and was admitted to the Agha Khan Hospital few days ago.

Mehdi Hassan was ill for the last 12 years but this year his condition detoriated significantly.

Kareena Kapoor Saif Ali Khan marriage is finalized on 16 October 2012

Ultimately the much awaited celebrity marriage is going to happen on 16 October 2012. After so many guess and speculations the date is finalized. Soha Ali Khan, sister of Saif Ali Khan also confirmed the news in Twitter. The marriage will be in Pataudi, the ancestral house of Khan family.

Senior actor AK Hangal is back again in acting

At the age of 97, AK Hangal is acting in a TV serial named Madhubala. For the last 7 years, AK Hangal did not face the camera but he is again on the shooting floor. AK Hangal reached the serial set on wheelchair and felt comfortable in shooting.

AK Hangal’s last film so far is Amol Palekar’s Paheli in 2005.  Since last 8 months, AK Hangal did not go out of his house. The script of the TV serial Madhubala has dome the miracle. At the age of 97 years, AK Hangal will be again on shooting zone.

The veteran actor used to play mostly roles of father in Hindi films.
