Shatabdi Roy and Rituparna will be seen in the same film,
Om Shanti. Rituparna Sengupta will be the heroine of the film where as Shatabdi
is the director.
Bengali film actress Rituparna Sengupta will work in Om
Shanti. This film will be directed by another Bengali film actress and MP
Shatabdi Roy. This is a hot new in Bengal film industry as their rivalry in the
past is known to all. Rituparna entered Bengal film industry when Shatabdi was
at the peak of her career. At that time Shatabdi Prasenjit pair was hot cake in
Tollywood. Gradually Rituparna captured
the number 1 heroine position of Bengal film industry. Shatabdi and Rituparna
has worked together in three Bengali films -
Lathi, Debipaksha and Sansar Sangram. All the three films were hit in
box office.
Om Shanti is going
to be fourth film directed by Shatabdi Roy and it is the first film where
actress Rituparna Sengupta will work as heroine of the film under the direction
of Shatabdi Roy. Both of them are matured now and want to forget the rivalry of
the past. The same rivalry was observed on two famous Bengali singers in
Bollywood industry. Abhijeet and Kumar Sanu were always at the daggers drawn
when they were newcomer in Mumbai film industry. Both of them reached the top
and now there is no rivalry between them. The same thing has happened for
Shatabdi and Rituparna. Bengali audiences are looking forward for a great film
from them. Tapas Paul, Victor Banerjee, Rajesh Sharma, Kharaj Mukhopadhyay and
many new artists will be in this film.
