Film Projapoti Biskut

Film Projapoti Biskut is the second film of  Anindya Chattopadhyay and after Open Tee Bioscope, expectations on Anindya has increased. This film is based on comedy of errors in the lives of a newly married couple. Projapoti Biskut is presented by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee. Many newcomers will be seen in this film.

Film Cockpit

Dev, Koel Mallick and Rukmini Maitra have come together for Dev’s home production, Cockpit. Dev plays the pilot of an aircraft hit by turbulent weather while flying Mumbai to Calcutta. The film shows how the pilot lands the craft even as two engines stop functioning. Rukmini is an air hostess and Koel is Dev’s love interest in the film Cockpit. Film Cockpit is directed by Kamaleswar Mukherjee.

Kaun Banega Crorepati 9 - rules of the game with new addition

9th edition of Kaun Banega Crorepati will start from 28 August with a few additions.  After a gap of 3 years, the quiz show hosted by megastar Amitabh Bachchan is coming back on TV.

Limited episodes : Kaun Banega Crorepati 9 will see 30 to 35 episodes to be aired over a period of six weeks. 

No film integration on the show : The season 9 of Kaun Banega Crorepati will not see unnecessary film promotions on the show. Instead, it will have heroes from different walks of life like the Women's cricket team. The show will see celebrities, but they won't promote their films. They will come on the show to raise awareness or support a special cause.

Play along feature: This will enable the viewers to play the quiz show through TV on their phone sets. The will get to see the questions asked on the show on their phone on TV sets and will also be able to select from the four options.

Jodidaar (new lifeline) : A new lifeline Jodidaar will be introduced this season. It will give a chance to the contestant to bring a friend, relative or anyone of his choice, who will help and guide him answering the questions on the show.

Video Call A Friend : Remember the famous Phone-A-Friend lifeline? It has been changed to Video Call A Friend. With the help of this lifeline, a contestant will be able to make video calls to their friends and also see them onscreen while taking the help.

Prize Money : One of the highlights this season is the prize money. The winning amount this season has been raised to Rs 7 crore. Unlike other stages during the show, if a contestant manages to pass the Rs 1 crore level, the next question that he will play will be for Rs 7 crore directly.

Film A Gentleman will be released on 25 August and the song sequence Laagi Na Choote will raise the temperature. The song is going to be the hottest of the year. Directors Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK told that Sidharth and Jacqueline couldn't stop kissing each other during the shooting of the film.

Actor Sidharth says that Jacqueline is just too hot to handle in the song. "The song comes at a crucial moment in the film where the lead pair needs to fully trust each other and give into each other. The mood is intense, it's sensual and it needed us to be in the moment of romance. Jackie is just too hot to handle in this song." 

About the song sequence, Directors Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK said "We were telling them that it's a cut (the shot), but Sid and Jackie were so into the moment that they couldn't listen and it became the longest kiss of Bollywood."

Jacqueline Fernandez and Sidharth Malhotra are working together for the first time in film A Gentleman. Let's see if they can set fire in the box office.

Rituparna and Prosenjit in Film Drishtikon

During their early stage of career, Prosenjit Chottopadhyay and Rituparna Sengupta worked in many romantic films although all the films were not classic. But now they are more matured and both are at their peak of careers. After a gap of 14 years, Ritu and Prosenjit worked in film Praktan and now they are all set to work together in Kaushik Ganguly's film Drishtikon which is based on an unusual love story.

Prosenjit confirmed the news and said, "Ritu and I will be work together in KG's film, Drishtikon. After Praktan, many directors had approached us, but we wanted to work with a director who's sensitive and can handle our camaraderie as actors. And who better than KG? Both of us wanted to work together and this is the right script. I'm sure KG will discover another side of our on-screen chemistry."

Story of film Drishtikon

Film Drishtikon is about a lawyer (Prosenjit) and his client (Rituparna). They have to stay in touch for years, as a case drags on. The film shows how their professional relationship turns personal over time. Churni Ganguly is Prosenjit's wife in the film. Gaurav Chakraborty is a junior lawyer and the director himself is playing the role of Rituparna's brother-in-law in film Drishtikon.

Gopi Bhagat is the film's DoP and Anupam Roy will be scoring the music. Shooting of the film will start after Durga Puja.

News is that Riya and Shivam Tiwari may tie the knot this month although none of them or their family members have confirmed the news. Riya Sen made her Bollywood debut in 2001, with the surprise hit film Style where Sharman Joshi and Sahil Khan were her co-stars. Riya worked in Bollywood films like Qayamat and Jhankaar Beats. Riya has also acted in a couple of South and Bengali films although her filmy career never reached the height as expected. When Mimi was asked about who is more naughty, the actress said "Max and I say that without an iota of doubt! The older one is a fool." Mimi further told that "I am a mother. They are both equally dear to me. Both add to my life in more ways than one."

This is the fifth month of her pregnancy. Sunidhi married composer Hitesh Sonik on 15 April 2012 and the couple is expecting their first child.

The singer is currently completing her commitments as per a leading daily that also went on to break her pregnancy news.

Sunidhi today took to Twitter to thank her fans for all the B’day wishes where she is seen at a recording. But, the video just shows her face, so don’t expect much. The singer is keeping the news all hush.

Tollywood Badshah Jeet to pair up with Nusraat Faria again in film Inspector Notty K. Jeet's latest released film Boss 2 has done good box office business in Bangladesh. Jeet's next film is Inspector Notty. K and Bangladeshi beauty, Nusraat Faria is paired with Jeet. The duo was earlier a part of Badsha - The Don and Boss 2. Both the films are box office hit in Bangladesh.

The film Inspector Notty K is a romantic-comedy film and directed by acclaimed Odisha filmmaker Ashok Pati. Film Inspector Notty K is co-produced by Jeetz Filmworks. The film is about the love story of two inspectors and the shoot is slated to go on floors by the end of August. Shooting of the film will be done in foreign locales like Italy, Bangkok, Bangladesh along with in and around Kolkata.

Bengali film Dhananjoy - Story Cast and Crew of the movie

Film Dhananjay is a Bengali language drama film directed by Arindam Sil and produced by Shrikant Mohta and Mahendra Soni under the banner of SVF Entertainment. Thirteen years ago, death penalty of Dhananjoy Chottopadhyay was a most discussed topic in West Bengal. Many eminent persons of that time welcomed the death penalty while Aparna Sen, late Sunil Gangopadhyay and Sujato Bhadra of APDR condemned the capital punishment. Dhananjoy was hanged on 15 August 2004.

Film Dhananjoy is based on the conviction of Dhananjoy Chatterjee, accused for the gruesome murder of Hetal Parekh. The crime took place in the year 1990. On the basis of circumstantial evidence and on the basis of the deceased mother's statement, Dhananjoy Chatterjee a security guard, was executed and hanged to death on the early hours of 15th August 2004. Before death Dhananjoy was imprisonment for 14 years. Dhananjoy was from a poor family in Bankura district and his family appealed to all levels of court in the country; and finally, to the President of India, Abul Kalam Azad.

Dhananjoy is no more in this world but there are many questions and doubts in the entire process. Till date Dhananjoy is the only person judicially executed in India in the twenty-first century so far for a crime not related to terrorism. The execution by hanging took place in Alipore Central Correctional Home, Kolkata, on 15 August early morning. Dhananjoy had been charged with the crimes of rape and murder of Hetal Parekh, an 18-year-old school-girl, on 5 March 1990, in her third floor apartment in Bhawanipore, Kolkata. Dhananjoy was the security guard of that apartment. Dhananjoy's family members refused to take the dead body and state government did the last rituals of the body. 

The execution stirred up many public controversies and attracted attention from media. Dhananjoy was convicted on the basis of circumstantial evidences only. Dhananjoy consistently maintained his innocence throughout his trial and imprisonment. There is a big question whether many people wanted to hang Dhananjoy as early as possible to hide something. 

Jailer, Doctor of  Alipore Central Correctional Home were surprised how a man like Dhananjoy can commit such a crime. The hang man, Nata Mallick also said that he never came across such a gentle  accused who pleaded for forgiveness if there was any mistake from his side.

Dilip Kumar Condition not good

Veteran actor and tragedy king of Bollywood film industry Dilip Kumar has been admitted to Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital since Wednesday and his condition is not good. The 94-year-old actor, was admitted with severe dehydration and kidney problems. Report is that he was put on ventilator although one of his doctors said that there was no truth to them. However, he admitted that Dilip Kumar's condition was "not good."

The Doctor said "(His condition is) Not good. His creatinine is rising, haemoglobin is decreasing and potassium levels are increasing. He will need dialysis, but he is not on ventilator."

Dilip Kumar made his debut with Jwar Bhata in 1944, has acted in over 50 films in his career spanning more than five decades. The actor has given us iconic films like Devdas, Mughal-e-Azam and Naya Daur. Last film of Dilip Kumar is Qila in 1998. 

Dilip Kumar was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1994 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2015. 

Till now, not a single star from Bollywood film industry has visited Dilip Saab in the hospita.

Bengali Film Mayurakshi - story cast and crew of the movie

Soumitra Chatterjee and Prosenjit are all set to team up together in Bengali film Mayurakshi. Veteran legendary actor Soumitra and Prosenjit will be father and son in film Mayurakshi.

Atanu Ghosh is the director of the film Mayurakshi and Soumitra Chatterjee will play the character of a professor.

Soumitra and Prosenjit have jointly worked in 38 movies so far and this is the sixth film of Soumitra Chatterjee with Atanu Ghosh. Mayurakshi also stars Gargee Roy Chowdhury, Indrani Halder and Sudipta Chakraborty, among others.

Film Mayurakshi, the result of that thought conceived almost four years ago, is ready to go on the floors this August. Director Atanu Ghosh said "There was so much mutual respect and love between Soumitra Chatterjee and Prosenjit, and I felt that one must think of something featuring these two significant figures from two generations."

The filmmaker further said “Soumitra kaku and Bumbada (Prosenjit) have shared screen space before but not as central characters, not like films which had two stalwarts like, say, Dilip Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan in Shakti.... And now is the time for such a film because both of them are in an interesting curve in their acting careers. Soumitra kaku always approaches every film as new, he’s always eager to break the mould. And Bumbada has been steering himself towards more challenging work over the years. Amar mone hoy akta abhinoyer takkar hobe.”
