Anu Aggarwal played the lead roles. The film is still remembered by audiences of that time and naturally comparison between Aashiqui 2 and Aashiqui is unavoidable. Mahesh Bhatt directed film Aashiqui had a new hero with different look – Rahul Roy. Innocent looks of Anu agarwal in film Aashiqui  was simply superb.

Mohit Suri has directed Aashiqui 2 and Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor are in the lead roles of the film.  Aditya Roy Kapur is not Rahul Roy. The passion between the lead pair is missing in the film mainly because of Shraddha Kapoor.  Shraddha Kapoor lacks both acting and emotion in the film which was very much needed in Aashiqui 2. Anu Aggarwal’s shy innocent looks in Aashiqui was talk of Bollywood for long time. Shraddha Kapoor failed miserably to reach that height of Anu Agarwal.

There are three points where censor board may have objection. The film's poster mentions that the film will be released on 26 April but till today censor has not cleared the film for release. Presently Anjali was working in the Telugu remake of Bollywood film 'Bol Bachchan'. Anjali and her uncle Suri Babu checked into a hotel in Jubilee Hills four days ago. It is learnt that Anjali’s aunty adapted her when she was 15 years old.

Last Sunday Anjali said before some Tamil media personnel that her uncle, aunty and director Mu Kalanjiyam are harassing her for money. On the very next day Anjali went out of the hotel and did not return. Anjali’s cellphone was found switched off and her uncle left for Chennai without lodging any complaint with police.

On Tuesday evening, Anjali’s brother lodged a missing complaint at Jubilee Hills police station.
