Srijit Mukherji’s next film Ek Je Chilo Raja is based on Bhawal Sanyasi case. Director Srijit Mukherjiis mainly depending on the book 'A Princely Impostor' written by Partha Chatterjee. The role of the Sanyasi Raja will be essayed out by Jisshu Sengupta and his wife’s role will be portrayed by Rajnandini Dutta, daughter of actress Indrani Dutta. Earlier a film based on the same story was made and the title of the film was Sanyasi Raja. Legendary actor Uttam Kumar played the role of the Raja.

Prostitution racket busted, Bengali TV actress arrested

Hyderabad Police on 17 December 2017, Sunday claimed to have busted a high-profile prostitution racket and saved two actresses. Police identified the two actresses as Richa A Saksena, who acted in Telugu movie "June 1:43" and Subhra Chatterjee, a Bengali TV serial actor.

Simultaneous raids were conducted at two five-star hotels in upscale Banjara Hills in the early hours of Sunday.

The Commissioner's Task Force, which conducted the raids on two rooms in Taj Deccan and Taj Banjara hotels, nabbed two 'organisers', who were identified as Monish Kadakia, casting director for Bollywood Telugu and Tamil films and D.Venkat Rao, a brothel organiser.

According to police, 24-year-old Richa, a resident of Mumbai and a small-time Bollywood actress hailing from Gujarat's Himatnagar district, was "rescued" from room no 328 of Taj Deccan, while 20-year-old Subhra, from West Bengal's North 24 Parganas, West Bengal, was "rescued" from room no. 412, Taj Banjara.

Police said that Kadakia is a native of Mumbai, and casting director and event manager with contacts in Bollywood and Tollywood.

He had booked the room in Taj Deccan by "procuring" upcoming actress Richa to attract the wealthy customers. The organizer collected Rs 30,000 to 50,000 from customers.

Venkata Rao, a native of Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh, had booked the room in another hotel by "procuring" Bengali TV actress.

Another organiser Janardhan alias Jani is absconding.

This is not the first time that actresses have been arrested on charges of prostitution. In 2014, an actress from Mumbai was caught on similar charges. However she was acquitted by a court in December that year.

Amazon Obhijaan to be release in six languages

Tollywood film 'Amazon Obhijaan', a sequel to Bengali blockbuster 'Chander Pahar', is going to be  the first Bengali film to be released in five other languages - Bengali, Hindi, Odia, Assamese, Tamil and Telugu..

Amazon Obhijaan is directed by Kamaleswar Mukherjee and the film is based on popular Bengali writer Bibhutibhusan Bandyopadhyay's classic adventure fiction. The film will be released on 22 December 22.

Director Kamaleswar Mukherjee said, "Two years after fictional Italian adventurer Marco Florian failed in his mission, his daughter Anna approaches the well-known Bengali explorer Shankar Choudhury, requesting him to join her for an expedition. Shankar readily accepts Anna's request and a journey begins to the heart of Amazon, to discover the hidden city of gold, El Dorado."

Finally Virat Kohli and his long time girlfriend Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma tied the knot in Milan, Italy today, according to Filmfare magazine report. Ultimately Anushka Sharma is wife of Virat Kohli. Official announcement is yet not received but very soon they will inform the press. As per report, the marriage was held today morning.

Vidya Balan turns down film based on Meena Kumari

Report is that actress Vidya Balan has rejected a script based on veteran actor Meena Kumari’s life which is a new project of writer-director Karan Razdan.

Karan Razdan said, “I narrated her something but at the moment she is wanting to do something that’s non-serious. She has had too much of serious stuff. We spoke at length. Maybe tomorrow, I may have that kind of a script for her. But at the moment, I wanted her to play the role of an actress of the 1960s. The film dealt with alcoholism and tragedy.”

Karan Razdan has also approached Madhuri Dixit but she is also not interested on the project. Karan said that the only actor, who showed willingness to work on the project was Sunny Leone. Although Karan Razdan has doubt over Sunny Leone's ability to perform in the film.

Karan said “I think the only one, who is courageous enough and said to me, ‘When can we start this film?’, has been Sunny Leone. It scares… It didn’t scare Vidya for sure. In fact, she believes she was Meena Kumar in past life. But the point is that it would need courage. I have narrated it to Madhuri but it didn’t work out for one reason or the other. Sunny came along, she said she had heard about this film and wanted me to narrate it. I met her at her house, had a long narration. I don’t know… She is not the ideal choice, I would say. But she was the most enthusiastic (about doing the role). I guess, she also saw this as her big chance.”

Bollywood actor Shashi Kapoor passes away at 79

Veteran Hindi film actor Shashi Kapoor passed away on 04 December 2017, Monday after prolonged illness. Shashi Ji was 79.

Shashi Kapoor was younger brother Raj Kapoor and Shammi Kapoor and younger son of Prithviraj Kapoor. Birth name of the legendary actor was Balbir Raj Kapoor and he was born in Kolkata on 18 March 1938.

Shashi Kapoor was well-known for his roles in films like 'Deewaar' (1975), 'Satyam Shivam Sundaram' (1978), 'Junoon' (1978), 'Shaan' (1980), and 'Namak Halaal' (1982).
