Srijit Mukherji’s much awaited thriller ‘Dwitiyo Purush’ will be released on January 23, 2020. Nine years ago, Srijit Mukherji’s ‘Baishey Srabon’ became a sensation. Story of film ‘Dwitiyo Purush’ will start from where ‘Baishey Srabon’ had left off.

The story of film Dwitiyo Purush follows a time frame in Kolkata where a series of serial killings shock the city once again 25 years after it first took place and detective Abhijit Pakrashi has been given the task of hunting down the killer. There is unpredictable journey in search of a murderer.

Bengali Film Dwitiyo Purush - Story Cast and Crew of the Movie

Parambrata Chottopadhyay and Raima Sen will be seen in Srijit Mukherji's upcoming film Dwitiyo Purush which is a sequel of Baishe Srabon. The film will be released on January 2020.

The story of film Dwitiyo Purush will start from where Baishe Srabon had left off.  Film Baishe Srabon was a psychological thriller based on a story revolved around  two journalists and two police officers. The film was a super hit film of 2011. 

Shooting of the film Dwitiyo Purush will start from October this year.

During their early stage of career, Prosenjit Chottopadhyay and Rituparna Sengupta worked in many romantic films although all the films were not classic. But now they are more matured and both are at their peak of careers. After a gap of 14 years, Ritu and Prosenjit worked in film Praktan and now they are all set to work together in Kaushik Ganguly's film Drishtikon which is based on an unusual love story.

Prosenjit confirmed the news and said, "Ritu and I will be work together in KG's film, Drishtikon. After Praktan, many directors had approached us, but we wanted to work with a director who's sensitive and can handle our camaraderie as actors. And who better than KG? Both of us wanted to work together and this is the right script. I'm sure KG will discover another side of our on-screen chemistry."

Story of film Drishtikon

Film Drishtikon is about a lawyer (Prosenjit) and his client (Rituparna). They have to stay in touch for years, as a case drags on. The film shows how their professional relationship turns personal over time. Churni Ganguly is Prosenjit's wife in the film. Gaurav Chakraborty is a junior lawyer and the director himself is playing the role of Rituparna's brother-in-law in film Drishtikon.

Gopi Bhagat is the film's DoP and Anupam Roy will be scoring the music. Shooting of the film will start after Durga Puja.

Filmmakers - Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee are marching forward with their production house with new and unique projects. The director duo have presented many blockbusters and now they will produce films of other directors.

On 14 Febriary 2017, Windows Music will launch Anupam Roy's new album 'Ebar Morle Gach Hobo'. In 2017, Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee will make a film titled 'Posto'. Film Posto is about modern-day parenting. Main shooting locations of the film will be Kolkata and Santiniketan.

Singer - Composer and filmmaker Anindya Chatterjee will make a film titled 'Prajapoti Biscuit' under Windows Production in 2017. The film Prajapoti Biscuit will revolve around new love affairs after marriage.

  The third film will be from Pavel of Babar Naam Gandhiji fame. Title of the film will Rosogolla. Film Rosogolla revolves around Nabin Chandra Sen - the creator of sweet.

Anupam Roy weds Piya Chakraborty

Singer-songwriter-music composer Anupam Roy married his long time girlfriend Piya Chakraborty on 6 December 2015. It was known to all that Anupam will marry Piya as they were in relationship for long time.

Shooting of Raj Chakraborty’s film Kath Mundu (not Kathmandu) has been started and actors Abir Chatterjee, Soham Chakraborty and Rudranil Ghosh have recorded a song for the film. Anupam Roy is the music director of the film Kath Mundu and regarding the song, director Raj Chakraborty said: "It is a situational song in which the three actors try to bully their boss (played by Saswata Chatterjee) by singing a Nepali folk song. Anupam, who is the film's music director, suggested that since the song required three male voices, it would get the right emotions if the actors themselves sung it. So, we went ahead and I must say, the three have done a great job."

The song is written by Padmanabha Dasgupta and Anupam is happy with the performance of the actors. Upto this point everything is allright but the director Raj Chakraborty is facing some problems.

SrabantiChatterjee and Mimi Chakraborty are two leading female actresses of the film Kath Mundu and now they are demanding a chance to sing in the film like their male co-stars. Raj himself has made the situation by promising his heroines that they would get a chance to sing in this film. Srabanti and Mimi want to sing a particular song that has been already recorded by Sreya Ghoshal. Raj Chakraborty has decided to ask his music director to compose one more song for his heroines. So we will get the chance to hear Srabanti and Mimi singing.

Anupan Roy is a new star in Bengali music. Actually, Anupam is an all round talented personality. He is a singer, lyricist, music composer and music director. Recently he has expressed his desire to be director of Bengali films.  Academic career of Anupam Roy is also as charming as his career in music. He is a graduate in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Jadavpur University. He is a gold medalist of 2004 batch. Before his complete involvement with music, he was working as an analog circuit design engineer in Texas Instruments, Bangalore.
